If you have never worked or worked very little, call 1-800-772-1213 before starting the application to see if you have enough job credits. If you do not have enough job credits, then you must be low income and apply for SSI benefits. Please click on option 3.

IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF YOU ARE LOW INCOME, GO AHEAD AND FILL OUT THE APPLICATION, SOCIAL SECURITY WILL ADVISE YOU IF YOU DO NOT QUALIFY. REMEMBER, IF YOU ARE MOSTLY DISABLED OR THINK YOU MAY BECOME DISABLED IN THE NEXT 12 MONTHS (Even if you are still working) GO AHEAD AND APPLY NOW-THERE IS NO COST TO APPLY!
